Quick Update SN: Can it be 2017 Now Please

What's up world. So since my first post I added a little sauce to the blog and got a cleaner, more professional layout along with a few other minuscule changes all of 3 people will probably notice since the rest of yall coming in late. I've done a ton of brainstorming and came up with a few great ideas for the future of this blog and its general direction. A few of those ideas include adding separate sections for new movies, music, and books. Essentially the navigation bar will look something like this....

I'll be making weekly recommendations and reviews on all three so be on the look out for that. Before I close out I want to thank all the people I asked to take time out of their busy schedules and check out my blog. The ones who've read this already have known me for quite awhile and I appreciate your support. Honestly, truly. So stay tuned! This is only the beginning.

Whew....2016..... U Scary

2016 was tough as nails. It pulled us, twisted us, turned us, and challenged us down to our very core. Some of us experienced loss, pain, hurt, anger, regret, failure, the list goes on. So I'm here to tell you, if you made it to the end of 2016 still standing you my friend are a force to be reckoned with. We experience the most growth through the toughest of tribulations. We must take the lessons and heartache 2016 has given us and convert that into new growth and opportunities. We write our own story. We may not be in total control of everything that's included in our book of life but what we do control is how we react to adversity and the unknown. Let's choose to make 2017 a chapter full of wins and success. I'm sure we could all use some of that right about now.

Creativity is Fuel for the Soul!

Ideas ideas ideas.....the world runs off of them. My advice to anyone reading this is to keep that idea muscle strong! I convinced myself for the longest that I wasn't the "creative type". That's complete bullshit. There's a genius chilling within all of us, it's just the ones who aren't afraid of letting it out that get rewarded. So much advice I come across over the web emphasizes the ritual of coming up with X amount of ideas everyday. The idea can be literally anything. We have ideas that run through our head everyday we just never take a second to sit down and flesh them out. I challenge you to take a minute to listen to your inner you. You're actually alot cooler than you think. You just don't know this (yet) because you haven't given yourself a fair shot at being...you.

One of my most favorite quotes states "Our deepest fear is not that we're inadequate, our deepest fear is that we're powerful beyond measure." - Marianne Williamson. Shouts out to Marianne because she really hit the nail on the head with that one. It's so crazy but yet so brutally honest to admit that we're literally not great because we're essentially....scared. Scared of how great we will become and of course scared of falling and failing. I believe the ones who aren't afraid to take that first leap of faith should seriously consider becoming an idea machine. Get in tune with you. Find out who you are. What drives you. What keeps you up at night. What's your purpose here on this Earth. The pursuit of those things will suddenly make life so much more interesting. It's the meaning of life that we humans seek after the most. It's embedded in our psyche. So don't forget to feed your soul every once in a while and get those creative juices flowing! You'll be glad you did.

Welcome to the Stoop! Alright so before I start this off I want to apologize (to myself because I have negative 20 followers right now) for this basic ass layout. Bare with me though things will get prettier I promise. I just wanted to get this thing launched off the ground. I've wanted to blog since before it was cool to blog (yeah I'm that guy) but as with the rest of the underachievers I invented enough excuses to keep me from doing so for over a decade. THAT ENDS TODAY. Sorry for screaming at you I just really needed to emphasize how monumental this day is. I've always been told I should write, I should blog, I should publicly speak yada yada yada well here's my start so yall better support a youngin'. Where will the blog go? What will this blog be about? How often will it be updated? Who knows. We're figuring this thing out together. So strap up, buckle in, and enjoy the ride.
